Manage Shipments

The Manage Shipments section allows you to configure the general parameters used for shipment and warehouse management within the Operations module.

The configuration is divided into two tabs:

  • Shipments
  • Warehouses

Shipments

The Shipments tab allows you to define the general parameters used during shipment creation and management.

General Configuration

This section allows you to define the options available for shipment management.

Shipment Logistics Model

Defines the logistics models enabled for shipments.

Route Leg Transport Mode

Defines the transport modes available for the route legs of an operation.

Shipment Trade Direction

Defines the trade directions enabled for shipments.

Default Values

Allows you to define the values initially selected when creating a new shipment.

Logistics Model

Defines the logistics model selected by default.

Transport Mode

Defines the transport mode selected by default.

Trade Direction

Defines the trade direction selected by default.

Dimension Unit

Defines the unit used to record length, width, and height.

Weight Unit

Defines the unit used to record weight.

Units Unit

Defines the unit used to count shipment elements.

Declared Value Currency

Defines the currency used to express the declared value.

Insured Value Currency

Defines the currency used to express the insured value.

Customs Office

Defines the customs office selected by default.

The default values for Logistics Model, Transport Mode, and Trade Direction must already be enabled in the general configuration.

Houses

Allows you to enable the use of Houses and configure their numbering.

Use

Enables or disables the use of Houses.

Mask

Defines the format used to generate House numbering. The numeric sequence must be specified inside curly braces { }.

Packages

Allows you to configure the mechanism used to generate package identifiers.

Mask Type

Defines the method used to generate the identifier for each package. Depending on the selected option, the system can generate the code automatically.

Save Changes

Once the configuration is complete, select Save to apply the changes.

Warehouses

The Warehouses tab allows you to configure the general parameters used for warehouse, reception, and consolidation management.

Manage Warehouses

Manage Warehouses

Allows you to enable or disable warehouse-related features and their associated configurations.

If the organization does not use warehouse operations, this option can be disabled.

Receptions

Allows you to define the format used to generate the numbering of warehouse receptions.

Mask Type

Defines the structure used to generate the identifier for each reception.

Numbering Structure

The numbering can be built using the following components:

Prefix

Identifies the reception type.

Warehouse

Includes the reference of the associated warehouse.

Period

Includes the corresponding period in the numbering.

Sequence

Includes a numeric sequence in the identifier.

The identifier structure depends on the selected Mask Type.

Consolidations

Allows you to configure consolidation numbering and the associated document requirements.

Mask

Defines the format used to generate consolidation numbering.

Required Documents

Defines the documents required to add a reception to a consolidation. If required documents are configured, the reception must include those documents and their corresponding attachments. If no required documents are defined, no document requirements apply when adding the reception.

Save Changes

Once the configuration is complete, select Save to apply the changes.

The parameters defined under Warehouses affect the management of receptions and consolidations.
